This semi-dried date with moisture content less than 16% which grows in the khozestan region, has dark brown color and is harvested in October and its shelf life at room temperature is almost 18 months ,this type is available in different grades and in pitted and non-pitted forms for direct consumption or industrial purposes.
Piarom Date (piyarom):
This semi-dried type also known as Marayami dates grows in Hormozgan region. The coloring of this kind is dark brown and round in size which is one of the most delicious date varieties . The skin of piarom date is thin.
This dried date grows in Fars , Khuzestan and Bushehr provinces. The coloring of this variety is yellow. It has shelf life of about two years ,The zahedi date can be used for industrial purpose because of its high sugar content.
This fresh date grows in Fars regions. The coloring of this variety is black and soft in nature with moisture under 18 %, its taste is very delicious.
this blackish dark color variety is fleshy and full of moister which grows in Kerman region, naturally grown and harvested with no treatment or any addition, its taste is very delicious , Keeping the dates in a cold store in 5 ‘c make them fresh for minimum one year and half.
This semi-dried Date is one of the important productions of Sistan and Baluchestan province. It is soft in nature and long in size with moisture less than 15%, rabbi Date is is sweet but not so juicy like Mazafati.
